Our #8 fan brush is good for creating a variety of textures such as tweed and animal fur. It’s also good for creating multiple lines in a single stroke as well as creating gradation. The base of the bristles are stiff and get more flexible towards the tips.
Brush Care
- Prepping your brush for the first time: Dip the brush in a little alcohol to soften the bristles and wipe off with a paper towel.
- Maintainence:
Gel: Be sure to wipe off excess gel after each use. When changing colors, dip in a little alcohol and wipe off. If using clear gel you may leave a little on the brush during storage.
Lacquer: Clean after each use and color changes with a little non-acetone polish remover. Rinse in a little water and wipe on a towel before storage.
Acrylic Paint: Remove paint frequently during application with water and wipe off excess water on a towel. You may use a gentle soap and rise throughly when needed.
- Storage: Always store your brushes with the cap on and the brush pointing down. This prevents moisture form getting into the ferrule (metal part) of the brush. Moisture in the ferrule may cause the bristles to split or the ferrule to comes loose from the handle.
